About This Program:

Addressing mental health is crucial in the fast-paced legal world, yet it often feels like uncharted territory. This interactive program is your map and compass, empowering you with the skills to navigate mental health discussions with confidence, spot the early warning signs of distress, and take meaningful action.

Together, we’ll break past the barrier of stigma, learn practical tools for recognizing mental health challenges in yourself and others, and explore skillful ways to offer or seek support. You’ll leave equipped to make a real difference in your professional community and beyond.


About This Program:

What if you’re feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, and you’ve got only 30 seconds to do something about it? As a busy legal professional, this scenario is probably all too familiar. The good news: it’s totally solvable. In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn a series of quick, effective techniques to manage stress and anxiety in just 30 seconds. We’ll also explore evidence-backed methods for cultivating positive moods and pleasant emotions that support your overall well-being and flourishing. You’ll leave with a toolkit of 30-second practices, as well as a handful of methods that go deeper.


 

Your Instructor: Jon Krop

Jon is a lawyer and an acclaimed expert in mindfulness and well-being. He has led well-being programs at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the Pentagon, Fortune 100 companies, public defenders’ offices, and more than 80 top law firms.

After graduating from Harvard Law School, Jon clerked on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and worked as a litigator at firms in Los Angeles and New York.

Jon has practiced mindfulness since 2006 and studied with teachers from around the world. In 2014, he completed a seven-month silent meditation retreat. He continues to study under a variety of teachers and spends two months out of the year on silent retreat.
